Before&After

I get so many requests for before and after pictures so I thought I'd post some. I used airbrush foundation to even out her skin tone and then filled in her brows. I chose warm rose golds and champange shadows for her eyes, coral-pink blushes on her cheeks and did light contouring. Her lips were a done with a warm pink liner and gloss. She was going for a pretty daytime look, which I think came out beautifully. BEFORE AFTER

Highlights&Haircuts

Here is one of the most requested haircuts I've gotten all year. Her naturally wavy texture works so well with it, and the highlights add a lot of brightness. BEFORE AFTER Voilà. Gorgeous!

Beach Wedding

My lovely Bride today was having an intimate beach wedding and wanted a natural makeup look with enough definition for the pictures. She wanted hair with volume but still smooth and sleek. Her daughter was the maid-of-honor and also wanted a natural yet defined look for the pictures. Here are some of the finished photos: Congratulations!

I was honored when a good childhood friend asked me to to do the hair for her future sister-in-law and her bridal party. The bride had so many great ideas and was very up-to-date with the latest styles, which was a lot of fun for me. We decided on creating a hair style that was modern and flowy, that she could take down for the reception dinner. I loved a Tom Ford lip color she introduced me to, which has become a guilty pleasure in my makeup kit and a new favorite for many of the brides I've worked with lately. I am so happy for these two love birds! Congrats Jen&Richard XO Click on the photo to see this wedding on Style Me Pretty blog Wedding location: Hapuna Prince Hotel Wedding Coordinat

Before and After

Todays Bride wanted a low side-bun with curls and a braid. She also wanted a natural yet defined look for her morning wedding. I used a longwearing liquid foundation makeup and did light contouring with a combination of dark and light foundations. I also used contouring powders to set the look along with a touch of peachy-pink blush. The bride had her own lash extensions in, so I did a find top liner and extended the corners of her eyes with minimal shading. She also had her own longwear lip color, which was a pretty bright light pink, which looked great (and very natural) in the photos. Here is an example of the bride before her makeup, and after:

Engagement Photos

Another magical photo shoot I wanted to share. It really is amazing how Rebecca was able to capture the beauty of the Big Island and its versatility. We have around 8 different types of climate zones on our Island, which is why I choose to use longwearing and waterproof makeup that can withstand the elements. I had fun playing up Mojan's gorgous eyes. She wanted a natural look that would still stand out so we did a grey smokey eye with dramatic lashes. We did light contouring under her cheekbones and used a subtle peachy-pink blush. Since her eyes were the focal point we used a nude-pink lip color. I gave volume to her hair and beachy waves by curling and setting them. I was glad to see it
